How much does social media management cost in Dubai?

Social media management in Dubai costs whatever the scope makes it cost, and the scope is set by four things: how many channels, how many posts, whether anyone creates the content, and whether anyone answers comments and messages. My own packages are AED 1,100/mo for Publishing Support, AED 2,200/mo for Social Management and from AED 4,900/mo for Content + Social, which adds a monthly shoot. Other freelancers and agencies price differently, so use the questions below to compare any quote, mine included.

What sets the monthly price?

• Channels. Instagram alone is a different job from Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook together, because each wants a different format and a different tone.
• Volume. Twelve scheduled posts a month is a smaller job than daily posting, and a quote should name the number.
• Content creation. Scheduling media you already have is cheap. Shooting, editing and designing it is where the hours go.
• Community management. Replying to comments and messages, and how often, is labour that should be capped and written down.
• Strategy and reporting. A monthly plan and a report someone actually reads take time to produce.

What do my three packages include?

• Publishing Support, AED 1,100/mo: 1-2 channels, up to 12/mo of your own assets scheduled, caption formatting, a monthly calendar and a basic report. No content creation, design, reels editing, community management or ads.
• Social Management, AED 2,200/mo: 2 channels, caption writing, a monthly content plan, publishing, comment and message triage three times per week, a planning call and a monthly report. You supply the finished photos and video.
• Content + Social, from AED 4,900/mo: one on-site content session a month, 4 edited short-form videos a month, supporting stills from the same session, the plan, captions, publishing and a monthly performance report on 2 channels.

What is usually left out of a social media quote?

Ask about each of these before you sign, because they are the lines that turn a cheap monthly fee into an expensive one:

• Content creation. Photography, video and design are the expensive part. If the fee is low, it probably assumes you supply them.
• Ad spend. Boosted posts and ads cost money paid to Meta or TikTok, on top of the management fee.
• Replies to direct messages. Answering enquiries is close to sales work, and many packages exclude it or cap it.
• Revisions. How many rounds a month, and what counts as one.
• Who owns the accounts. The business should own every account and add the manager as a partner or admin, never hand over its password.

Is it cheaper to hire someone in-house?

It depends on volume. A full-time hire makes sense when there is a full-time amount of content to make and messages to answer. A small business that needs a few posts a week and a monthly shoot usually does not have that, which is the gap a monthly package fills. I can't tell you a salary figure for Dubai that I would stand behind, so I won't give one.

Do I need an advertiser permit to post for my business?

Possibly not, but anyone you pay to promote you does. Since 1 February 2026, individuals who advertise on social media in the UAE need an advertiser permit, whether or not they are paid. The regulator is now the National Media Authority, which took over the UAE Media Council's role under Federal Decree-Law No. 11 of 2025. Its permit page exempts individuals advertising their own products or services, or those of a company they own, through their personal accounts.

What the page does not spell out is a company's own brand account, so I won't say whether one needs a permit. Ask the authority. What is clear is that a creator or influencer you hire must hold their own permit and show its number on their account, so ask for it before you pay.

• For UAE citizens and residents the permit is valid for a year, renewable, and free for the first three years. It also requires a trade licence for electronic media activity, which has its own cost.
• Visitors need a separate Visitor Advertiser Permit, valid for three months, applied for only through an accredited advertising or talent agency.
• Fines apply under Cabinet Resolution No. 42 of 2025. News reports put the first fine for advertising without a licence at AED 10,000, higher for a repeat. I could not read the official fine table, so check it before relying on a figure.

Does paid content need a label?

Yes, on Meta's platforms. Meta's branded content policy says creator content made in exchange for something of value, money or free products, must tag the business, which shows as the "Paid partnership" label on Instagram. If a manager or creator posts sponsored content for you, it should carry that tag.

How do I compare two quotes?

• Put them side by side on the same five lines: channels, posts per month, content creation, community management and reporting.
• Ask for a sample monthly report.
• Ask what happens in month four, and how much notice you need to give to stop.
• Ask who will actually do the work, and whether it is outsourced.

If a quote cannot answer those in writing, it is not cheaper. It is unknown.
