If you are a VAT-registered UAE business, switch on VAT and TRN and this becomes a compliant tax invoice with a 5% breakdown. If you are freelancing or invoicing outside the tax net, leave them off and it stays a plain invoice. Same tool, either way.
What goes on a good invoice
- Who you are and how to pay you - name, contact, and bank or payment details.
- Who it's for, and a unique invoice number so you can both track it.
- The date, and clear line items with quantities and prices.
- A total that adds up, in the currency you agreed.
The most common reason an invoice gets paid late is that it is missing the thing the finance team needs - a PO number, a TRN, or bank details. Put everything on it the first time and you save yourself the follow-up email.
